Donors lists everyone who has given to your rescue, how much, and when they last did. It is built from the gifts in Donations, so there is nothing to keep up to date by hand. The page has no row of its own in the sidebar. Type Donors into the search palette to open it (see Finding your way). Anyone whose role has See on Fundraising can open it.

Who counts as a donor

A person is on this list when either of these is true:
  • they have at least one Completed gift, or
  • they carry the Donor role in People.
There is no button to add a donor. Somebody becomes one by giving: a gift logged against a person, a gift that arrives through your website, and a gift added on an adoption all give that person the Donor role. You can also give somebody the role yourself by editing their record. Only Completed gifts count towards anything on this page. A pending, failed or refunded gift is not money the rescue has. So a person whose only gift is still Pending appears here, marked a donor, with nothing given yet. Anonymous gifts belong to nobody and are not counted on this page at all.

Figures

Columns

A person with no Completed gift and no in-kind delivery is shown in grey.
The Something arrived form on the Wish list does not ask who brought the item, so deliveries recorded there are not counted under In kind. Only a delivery recorded against a named person, through the API, counts.
The count above the table is everyone who matches. The table itself shows the first 50 in the order you have chosen. The page has no export.

Sorting

Sort by, at the top right, orders the table:

Filters

The rail beside the table has two groups, each with a count. Giving
  • Has given: at least one Completed gift.
  • Never given: no Completed gift.
Last gift
  • Nothing in a year: 365 days.
  • Nothing in 6 months: 180 days.
  • Nothing in 90 days: 90 days.
Each Last gift choice shows people who have given before and whose most recent Completed gift is older than that. Somebody who has never given is never counted as lapsed, and the page says so while the filter is on. Choosing a window also sets the window the Lapsed figure uses.

Views

Views, above the filters, keeps filtered lists you come back to, such as the lapsed donors you write to each spring. Filter the list, press + Save current view, give it a name and press Save. Your views are your own: other people on your team do not see them.
