AKC Reunite is used from the animal record, by hand. Nothing is sent on a schedule, and that is on purpose: an enrollment can cost your rescue money, so a person presses the button.

  • A username and password for AKC Reunite’s enrollment service.
  • Your enrollment source ID, the ID they gave your organization. It looks like 88a1dfdf-a621-472a-ae3e-42dd96dc3770.
  • The server address they give you.

Ask AKC Reunite for access

They issue the username, password and enrollment source ID together, and tell you which server to use.

Add the integration

In RescueConsole, open Settings → Advanced & security → Integrations, find AKC Reunite under Microchip registries, and add it.

Enter what they gave you

Type the username, password and enrollment source ID, and press Save it. The password is stored and never shown again.

Set the server

The Server box starts on AKC Reunite’s test server, which is the only one their documentation names. When they give you the live one, put it here.

Test the connection

Test the connection signs in and reports back in their own words.
This is built from AKC Reunite’s own document and has not yet been run against their servers, because they had not issued credentials when it was written. Check the first enrollment against their records before you rely on it.
The server box starts on their test server. A chip enrolled there is not enrolled in real life. Change it to the live address as soon as they give you one.
